Gas....Gas...

It looks like the hot issue for the political debates will involve Gas. As people drive to and from the beach this summer and wherever else, the big thought is constantly, can I afford the gas?
It's a sad day when a girl can't go on a vacation because it costs to much for gas. And the gas hysteria is rising...the oil companies were already dragged in front of congress and questioned...the oil business can't help the nature of speculation...but then again....they can...one almost starts to wonder if the oil companies know what they are doing anymore...making lots of money...but have they thought about the loss of profits if the current situation continues and everyone switches to some other form of energy eventually? Critics and supporters complain that the oil will always be our main form of energy, but that seems ridiculous. There simply comes a point when cost outweighs the benefit. Think about it, another energy source or plan will make the middle eastern situation null. If money is not being poured into the middle east for oil, then there is no need for U.S. intervention except that the rest of the world might still want oil for energy use. So then the U.S. is still stuck trying to protect that source of money from the terrorists. And the general craziness of some of the people...sometimes the Middle East's hold on oil and the problems over there are like the hold of an abusive relationship, the longer one stays, the harder it is to leave, the more crazy things become..and the abusive personality knows that....
